  • Camela Widad

A mainstay Americana Folk Troubadour, Camela Widad is a performing songwriter who is a little bit saintly and a little bit rock and roll, delivering Americana music for the dreamers. With seven albums, critical acclaim, and multiple performances solo or with a band, Camela could not have achieved this without the vocal coaching style she discovered during a workshop in Nashville. This technique has enabled her to play more shows on the road without voice fatigue or loss, as well as perform with bands with a bigger sound.

As a working singer-songwriter, she began sharing this knowledge, and after 14 years of teaching, she now has a vocal coaching roster of students from all over the world, both online and in person. A Wisconsin native who moved back about four years ago, she currently performs in the Midwest after years on the East Coast. Camela is stoked to be part of the team at Girls Rock Camp!
